Summer you have butterflies and moths to watch, and dragonflies – what is there now? Nothing. That's why I'm resorting to night time photography – its the only time I'm free (working very hard at the moment, 12 hour days with little respite looking like its on the horizon).
Another tutorial would be great, I'd love tips on how to get decent macro shots without having a specialist lens e.g. using my 105 – 300mm. I've been too used to my old camera where I could get within 4mm of the subject in super macro mode. Landscapes too would be useful – especially composition tips.

Spoken like a true photographyphobe Simon
Roll on the spring I say. Stunning sunrises and sets and all that macro work to look forward to.
Anyone fancy the idea of a landscape and macro tutorial? I can put something together if you like.

I prefer the period between Christmas and Spring to that period from mid July to beginning of September when the whole world seems to go quiet, not a bird in sight, dog walkers cyclists and horse riders trampling and scaring all the flower and insect interest and only a few dodgy looking waders (you try telling Little and Temmincks Stints apart when their thigh deep in mud) to keep you going. Perhaps that's because I'm no photographer.

Thanks Paul. Bring on spring so I can get out there and try some new things with wildllife – the light recently has been awful when I've been free (which isn't a lot). Moths, Butterflies, Flowers, oh and the birds – can't wait.
Is anyone else just dying for spring to come or is it just me, the time between Christmas and Spring seems to get longer every year.

Looks good Chris. Some superb abstract work and the HDR is looking excellent.
I'm looking forward to seeing more work as it's added.
