I think I might have to miss the Brecks this year, obviously there's no real substitute but I can't see I'm going to have time to get down there.

Anglesey will be good, and there's always plenty to see there, and plenty of rarities seem to turn up there too. Sounds like you have a good few weeks birding coming up.

hi Mark, I'd love to but I'm spending Sunday and Monday up at Bempton/Flamborough (well bridlington if you ask the missus :-)) i'm hoping something decent turns up there.

Well even if nothing rare turns up, you should get lots of nice photo opportunities.

I am missing out Bempton this year in exchange for Anglesey, as I am playing golf near Liverpool a week on Friday, it seemed to good an opportunity to miss to head across there the following day.

Just trying to plan what birding to do over the bank holiday weekend. Thinking that I may have a run across to Norfolk / Suffolk border for Stone Curlew, Golden Oriole, etc, assumming no real mega birds turn up elsewhere. Not sure whether to go Sunday or Monday, will probably decide later in the week depending on weather forecasts. If anyone is interested in coming along let me know.
