Great news re the Sand Martins Dave, there have been several up at Erewash Meadows recently so I hear (I don't get out much these days – too many holidays, but more on that in my blog Smile), whether they are venturing up that far from your side or whether they're a different group I'm not sure.

 

Barnies doing well in the valley again this year but I don't know if any have any info from Bennerley specifically other than the odd sighting.

I think we may have a small breeding population of Sand Martins on the River Erewash at Bennerley Marsh, they have been disappearing in to the bank in a meander visible only from the viaduct. Cool
