Hedgehogs

October 30, 2012 in Latest Patch Sightings by colin penny

Still active think this one needs to grow a bit more before the bad weather sets in, had  visits from a much bigger one all summer but that one seems to have gone missing !, not sure how the older dog i have knows when ones in the garden but she sits at the patio doors wagging her tail.

The hedgehog was allready curled up didn't frighten it with the flash.

Out and About

October 29, 2012 in Latest Patch Sightings by colin penny

A pleasant little walk to the top of north marsh and back in the sunshine this morning produced a couple of nice sightings, a red admiral in flight and a couple of unknown dragons along the edge of the river Erewash. Also spotted my first redwings in valley proper a group of 13 birds seen and its allways great to see a kingfisher even if it was only briefly as it headed down river.

cheers colin.
