More Shots From Mapperley Reservoir.
January 22, 2012 in Latest Patch Sightings by PaulS
I’ve just had a trawl through some very old shots of mine and found a few from Mapperley Reservoir. I think they show once again how beautiful the location is, sunrise or sunset. The one with the little fishing platform can no longer be taken as it’s long gone.
Sorry about the naff borders, it was a faze I went through. Hope you like the shots though.
Cheers
Paul

Wow Paul, brilliant work. They all look very different, I love the crack in the sky in the second.
Cheers Chris. If I remember rightly there was an almighty storm not long after I took the one with crack in the sky. Both sunsets were taken from the little pier halfway along the road. It’s a great spot in the summer for landscapes.

Thank you Maurice. Very much appreciated.
These are great images Paul. Did you use any filters on any of these? If so what were they on each of the pics, and can you also post the exif data so it gives us budding photographers an idea of what camera settings to use.

Lovely images Paul. The second one is stunning. I also like the First signs of autumn. Nicely placed leaf:-)

Don, I’ll put up a post breaking down how I took the shot.
Maggie, believe it or not the leaf was there. I was walking around looking for Autumn shots for a club photo comp, dead leaves and that sort of thing. I saw the leaf on the jetty and took the shot (you couldn’t walk on the jetty as it was all rotten). The shot bombed in the comp and the judge said a similar thing about the leaf. He said he would have put more leaves on it and didn’t believe it was there already. Judges, they’re all just failed photographers jealous of the talent displayed before them.
