Mapperley Reservoir Landscapes.

January 14, 2012 in Featured, Uncategorized by PaulS

Met up with the illustrious Mr Love this morning for a bit of frosty fingered early morning snapping. We started of in Shipley Wood then headed back down to Mapperley Reservoir. I don’t know if you’ve ever done an image search for this spot but there doesn’t seem to be that many landscape shots from here. As we already know on this site the Erewash Valley is the jewel in England’s crown, so to redress the balance and (hopefully) put some shots up that show off the beauty of Mapperley Res I mounted the 10-20mm lens and filters and took a few shots. Here’s a selection from the morning. Hopefully they just go to show how amazing the area around here is.

Cheers

Reflections in the water from the fishing pegs near the car park.

Frozen reed and Canada Geese.

Check out all the empty mussel cases amongst the reed.

A little contre jour to finish. It’s French for against the daylight.
