More Calendar Submissions
October 26, 2011 in Misc by ChrisLuv
Two photos submitted for the calendar, first from Mick and second from Hazel Gell (Davids wife). Not sure how to vote for these given there’s only two but give them a vote A-F anyway – comparing them to others submitted, I’m sure we’ll sort it out.
Mick
Hazel Gell (using an inexpensive camera. Being hand-held, I think it was a fluke how the butterfly came out so sharp. I guess the photo could be cropped if necessary, also.)

My ranks- 3rd, 1st (imagining there are six), really hard given its hard to compare but the sharpness is amazing in he first photo, especially given its straight out the camera, the background is a little cluttered though which pushes it down one IMO.
Anyone have a better way to vote? I must admit I find it very hard. Such good photo
Imagining the photos where part of others submissions I’d say they where both upper middle so around C.
The butterfly is razor sharp. Looks a little surreal against the background but a very good shot nonetheless.
The GSW is HUGE!! on my laptop. I can only see about a quarter of it at once but it is a great shot.
Yes, sorted! score them both C from me with the butterfly the cover shot.
“score them both C”
Sorry, I meant to say 3rd.
Got to agree C or 3rd,Peacock looks almost 3D.
I’ll go along with a ‘C’ for both of these. That was my first thought Gary when I saw the B’Fly, looks like Chris will have to include the red and green glasses with this calendar. Looking at the deer pics from Mick, it appears to me that he has sorted out his image sizes for web posting. I think I may have confused you about picking a cover image, my thoughts for this was for everyone to pick just one image from all the shots posted and not one from each person, because by picking one from each person means another vote.
Don
In that case then I’ll go for Chris’ buzzard as cover shot.
And i`ll go for Pauls pair of GCG “B”
Mick – you have an image of this without copyright and border you can send me via email for printing (in a suitable size)? Like I’ve said to Maggie if you feel strongly we can discuss, but I’d ideally like all images to be the same.
